Recently opened in June 2009, the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre showcases the extraordinary marine life of the ocean & explain the mysteries of the ocean surrounding the Gulf Islands. Each visitor experiences a personal undersea adventure extending from seafloor to seashore. Through expansive acrylic viewing panels, visitors are introduced to complex ecosystems teeming with the colourful marine life. Bold special effects enhance the experience as visitors descend into the depths to begin their undersea journey.
