ARTIST'S BIO

A self-taught photographer, Anne M. Fearon-Wood has been interested in photography for over 30 years. She was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada and graduated from an Ontario university with degrees in Biology (BSc), an Outdoor Recreation Management (HBOR) and a certificate in Parks and Tourism. She currently works as a biologist and photographer for a local consulting firm on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. She supplies photography for their website, presentation materials, and digital reference collections.

She has called beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, home for over twenty years. Anne is passionate about photography and she has travelled to many regions around the world capturing the essence of its diverse wilderness and wildlife. She believes photography is a teaching tool for the conservation and appreciation of the natural environment. She loves shooting landscapes, pets and wildlife and her goal is to constantly challenge herself learning new techniques, lighting, and composition. Besides photography, her other interests include travelling, hiking, sailing, cycling and yoga.
